Combines a high optical resolution with a low thermal sensitivity for reliably detecting small temperature differences even for very small objects
The Micro-Epsilon TIM 400 and TIM 450 are fixed mount thermal imagers which combine an extremely high optical resolution of 382 x 288 pixels with a thermal sensitivity of 80mK or 40mK for reliably detecting small temperature differences even for very small objects which could hardly be detected using common imagers.
The TIM 400 and TIM 450 have standard temperature ranges of -20 to 100°C, 0 to 250°C, and 150 to 900°C. A fourth optional range of 200 to 1500°C is also available. Basic accuracy across all ranges is ±2°C or ±2%, whichever is greater. Unlike traditional infrared vision cameras, the Micro-Epsilon TIM 400 and TIM 450 assigns a calibrated temperature value to each recorded pixel, so that no comparative measurement takes place.
The Micro-Epsilon TIM 400 and TIM 450 thermal imagers are powered and operated via a USB 2.0 interface. These plug-and-play units are supplied with a full software package, TIM Connect, that enables the user to configure all device parameters, as well as enabling the real time capture (at 96Hz full frame rate) and storage of images or video of an event for slow motion play back or snapshots at a later date – an important feature in R&D and failure diagnostics work.
Analog inputs and outputs are provided for the TIM 400 and TIM 450, as well as digital communication via RS232 or DLL for software integration. Output of analog temperature or trigger/alert values are via process interfaces provided. The camera also comes with a software developer kit and LabVIEW driver as standard.
The Micro-Epsilon TIM 200 and TIM 230 are extremely rugged (IP67) and lightweight. With dimensions of just 46mm x 56mm x 90mm, the camera remains one of the smallest USB-operated infrared cameras available on the market today.
